Cookie policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Simple4U uses cookies and similar technologies (including localStorage and sessionStorage) on the website and web app under Austrian law (DSGVO / TKG 2021). Our Privacy Policy (/legal/data-processing) and Imprint (/legal/impressum) also apply.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and SDK identifiers (e.g. Firebase Analytics). They may be first-party (Simple4U) or third-party (e.g. Google, Stripe on their domains).
Categories we use
1) Essential / Necessary
Required to provide the service securely: authentication and session (Firebase Authentication), security, storing your cookie consent, and payment checkout via Stripe (including anti-fraud measures on Stripe). Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(b) and/or (f) GDPR and § 165(3) TKG 2021. No consent is required for these.
2) Functional
Remember interface choices such as language (tutor_lang) and theme (tutor_theme) in localStorage so the product works as you configured it. These are needed to deliver the explicitly requested UI; they are not used for advertising.
3) Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID configured in the app) to understand product usage (e.g. page views). Analytics is activated only after your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165 TKG 2021). We do not use PostHog or Plausible. Transfers to the USA may occur under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework / SCCs where applicable. You can withdraw consent anytime.

How to withdraw or change consent
Open “Cookie Settings” in the website footer at any time to accept all, keep essential only, or toggle Analytics. You can also clear site data in your browser settings. Withdrawing analytics consent stops further Analytics collection; essential/functional storage remains required for the service.
